Jas Medica Management, located in Miramar Florida has served as a primary care office and training facility for medical students and residents for over 15 years. The new division will focus on the expansion of medical education and research guidance and opportunities needed by physicians and aspiring healthcare providers. Meet the Founders
Dr. Ahmed is a practicing physician in Miami for approximately 18 years in the field of family medicine and currently holds the position of full professor at Larkin University. Over the years, he has taught at various universities in Miami, including NOVA Southeastern University, University of Miami, Florida International University, and Barry University. For the last 2 years, he has served as the associate vice president of Research & Academic Affairs at Larkin Health Care System. In this role, he closely oversees the research and scholarly activities of each resident and fellow in over 40 ACGME-accredited programs. Dr. Ahmed’s research work includes serving as a principal investigator for NIH-funded projects, and he has published numerous articles in reputable journals. He also serves on the American Journal of Internal Medicine editorial board. Dr. Ahmed is also certified as a Principal Investigator and holds an active CITI Certification dated 01/01/2024.
Dr. Echols has been in medical education for over 45+ years. She has served as a faculty, researcher and administrator at Ohio University COM, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Arkansas College of Medicine. She is the Dean Emeritus from the College of Biomedical Sciences at Larkin University. She also served as Corporate Administrator for Medical Education and Research at Forum Health. She is a full professor and currently serves as the VP of Research and Academic Affairs of Larkin Health System in Miami Fl.
